CPE takes the privacy of its visitors and clients very seriously and therefore processes your personal data in a secure manner, with the sole purpose of providing the products and services offered by CPE. 1. Who is CPE?
CPE is an organization that translates legal developments into newsletters, courses, and training programs. We offer our clients both free service products and paid services. In this capacity, we collect and store personal data in order to tailor our services to each customer. Lastly, CPE operates exclusively within the European Union and is therefore only subject to European legislation.

Account
To provide our services and products at the desired level, you will receive a free account upon subscribing to them. We will ask you to enter some basic details that are necessary for delivery. The minimum required information includes your initials, last name, and email address.
Registration
When you register for a paid service (such as a course, training, or educational program), the following additional details are required in addition to your account information: title, phone number, organization name and address, job title, and, if applicable, alternative billing or payment information.
Use of Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized data on browsing behavior. This allows us to understand how visitors like you use our website. We use this information to make informed decisions about the website’s design and to optimize its performance. Google may provide this information to third parties if legally required to do so, or if those third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. We have no control over this. 4. How does X protect your personal data?
CPE operates on the principle of collecting and processing as little personal information as possible. We also avoid, as far as possible, the storage and processing of sensitive personal data. For the personal data that we do collect and process in order to provide our products and services, we take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss and any form of unlawful processing.

A personal account is always secured with a password, which is typically created by the user themselves. CPE only provides a (temporary) password if the customer requests assistance with registration. In such cases, CPE always advises the customer to change this to a personal password as soon as possible. CPE has no access to the passwords created by users, as these are stored in hashed form. The page where you submit personal data is protected by a secure connection (SSL). Without your explicit consent, CPE will not share your personal data with third parties for direct marketing or any other purposes.
5. How can I access, modify, or delete my personal data?
You have the right to access, modify, or delete your personal data at any time. You can access and update your data directly through your personal account. If you wish to have your data deleted, you may request this by contacting CPE.

6. Retention period
Your personal data will not be retained longer than is necessary, in accordance with applicable legislation and the rules of the Dutch Bar Association.
