Duarte G. Henriques is a Lisbon-based lawyer and arbitrator with over 35 years of experience in international arbitration and litigation. He has acted as both counsel and arbitrator in disputes involving IP, technology, investment, banking and finance, corporate, commercial, and construction matters.

He is recognized as a Thought Leader and Global Leader in Arbitration by Who’s Who Legal, noted for his extensive expertise in commercial and investment treaty disputes and his work across complex, high-value cases.

Duarte regularly serves as sole arbitrator, chair, or tribunal member in domestic and international proceedings, and advises clients including financial institutions, insurers, and technology companies.

A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), he is listed as arbitrator with leading institutions including AAA-ICDR, CIETAC, HKIAC, SIAC, KCAB, SVAMC, the International Distribution Institute, and the Patent Mediation and Arbitration Centre (PMAC) of the Unified Patent Court (UPC).

He is a member of several international arbitration associations and a published author on arbitration.
